Ah Debbie..too funny. Great story! It’s probably a good thing you didn’t scare the jocks and cheerleaders; they would’ve panicked and fallen through the floor to be eaten and then you’d feel bad.
Well, you would, wouldn’t you? WOULDN’T YOU?
Why do you have that smile on your face?
I didn’t care for most cheerleaders and jocks either. I run into them occasionally today, so many years later, and I still think they are the odd ones, while I still feel…normal.
debbie, you MISSED the perfect opportunity… it would have been so tempting to just gaze at them malevolently, and then disappear back into the shadows without a sound…
or to make dire predictions, like “your breasts will sag, your quarterback husband will break his knee and never attain greatness… he will end up a gaspumper and you will work at walmart for the rest of your life…”
