Before one procedure, the dentist told me he was going to take his time so my teeth won't get "overheated". I found that to be a bit of an overshare. Oddly enough, I relax at the dentist's office, but then, I've had nothing but good experiences (well, I got both nitrous [does best Wooderson stoner look] and novicaine when I had, yes, all four of my root canals; and I got to watch a movie!). As for needles, let's just say that IV drug use was never going to be an issue for me. Whatever you're having done, I hope it goes well. Yowch!
